What an exciting night of racing.
First Moto of the evening included Bars racing members Blevins #248 and Puhonex #300 in the 85cc intermediate class. Neither rider could produce a good holeshot which forced them to push their skills on the track. After getting through traffic the leaders had pulled too far away for the Bars riders to take the top spots. Finishing 3rd Blevins #248 and Puhonex #300. Moto 2 was almost the same race over again with Puhonex 3rd and Blevins finishing the last lap with a flat tire to take 4th.

David Blevins and Andrew Stiltner returning to action bringing along teammate and first time racer Austin "Puhonex" Robertson. The day started off with one of the best races of the day. Blevins #248 took the holeshot with Polensky #210 shadowing his every move and took the lead from Blevins with one lap remaining. During the battle for the lead Puhonex #300 went from last to 3rd place and had the leaders in his sites. On the final turn Blevins made his move on Polensky and recaptured 1st place. Puhonex seen the opportunity and also blew past Polensky to take the second position. Stiltner #13 was taken out on the first lap by a slower rider and climbed through the pack setting some impressive lap times to finish a respectable 6th.
Moto 2 was a different story, Blevins # 248 had Polensky #210 from the holeshot and never looked back finishing 1st. Stiltner's #13 hadn't changed, another slow rider had him fighting from the back of the pack. Making up a lot of positions riding flawlessly he was one spot off the podium placing 4th.
Puhonex #300 was forced to move up to the intermediate class because of a jump infraction (clearing a MAJOR double during a beginner session). Puhonex suprised us by finishing 2nd. Moto 2 he went down with an injury that would keep him in the pits for the night.

Spring In To Action

The first race weekend for BARS Racing was a success! David Blevins and Brad Vargo took there first step towards their Supercross dreams. Moto 1 was won by David Blevins with Brad finishing a close second. Motos 2 & 3 reversed the order with Brad taking the top spot and David following close behind.
Andrew Stilner making the race just in time for moto number 2. He lined up at the gate with NO practice laps, and his 1st race, WoW is this kid crazy? With an awesome holeshot and a good finish he crossed the finish line 6th in his class.

Welcome to Milan Cycle City,

No good story to tell after leaving Milan. We were just glad to get out of town in one piece. The track was a little to wet for the Bars teammates #248 Blevins and #13 Stiltner. Both riders spent some time on the ground and managed to pull out a podium finish. #13 Stiltner posted a 3rd place finish in Moto 1 but crashed out big time in Moto 2. #13 Stilner tried a Monster double in the closing laps of Moto 2 and came up short, knocking himself out cold (while in the lead). #13 Stilner packed up his RM85 feeling bad about his crash but will be ok to ride another day.
#248 Blevins paced his Yamaha behind the leader to hold to the 2nd spot. Both Bars teammates loved the track and are anxious to return on a dryer day.
